The US Visa Waiver Scheme (ESTA Visa)

All travellers from participating Visa Waiver Program countries must be approved by the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to traveling to the United States.

Since January 12, 2009, ESTA visa approval is mandatory for all travellers arriving to the United States by air or sea. ESTA is a 100% online system - we do not require any documents, passports or copies of documents to process your application. On receipt of your application you will receive your unique Visa Waiver number via email which can be used to check your application status at any time. Visa Waiver approved travellers can stay in the USA and surrounding countries for a maximum of ninety days at a time for the purpose of business or leisure.

Should you wish to extend your stay or work in the USA you will need to apply for a different visa through the US Embassy in your home country. Be aware each member of your family or travel party (including babies) will need to complete an application and be approved for travel.
